John Knefel explains the “zero tolerance” immigration policy that was put into effect in April of this year, the key point of which was that children were taken from the adults they were traveling with as a means to deter others who planned to enter the United States without immigration documents. Earlier this week footage surfaced from the detention centers showing that children were being kept in cages and public outrage pressured the White House to sign executive orders that will keep families together.
Molly and John Knefel are hosts of the longrunning progressive politics podcast, Radio Dispatch.
