The Fleshtones were formed in 1976 in Whitestone, New York, and have been active for the nearly four decades since. They were there for the rise of punk and the New York rock ‘n roll music of the late 1970s and early 1980s, and were the first band to be booked or to play at iconic venues such as Irving Plaza, Danceteria, Maxwell’s, and the 9:30 Club. With a cult following and reputation as an unforgettable live act, their colorful history continues to grow to this day, as they give every show 100%. Founding members Keith Streng and Peter Zaremba stopped by for a special acoustic performance and chat with Travis.
