Soon after taking office at the beginning of the year, New York’s new mayor, Bill de Blasio, announced he would be seeking to ban the horse-drawn carriages known for carrying tourists around Central Park. BTR Pulse’s Sarah Fraser spoke with people in New York about the possible end of what some consider an institution and others consider animal rights abuse.
