Big Bend is the experimental musical project of Ohio-born, NYC-based composer Nathan Phillps. With a focus on collaboration and clever use of improvised electronics as a base for his songwriting, Phillips weaves intricate, otherworldly sounds together beautifully. Joined here by Craig Schenker on saxophone and with an overhead projector on-hand for some appropriate visual aids, Big Bend brings their expansive, amorphous sound to Serious Business Music in Brooklyn.
