Meklit is an Ethio-American singer-songwriter, composer, and TED Senior Fellow whose latest album was produced by multi-Grammy winner Dan Wilson and features guest appearances by the likes of Andrew Bird and Preservation Jazz Band. Musically rooted in jazz with great pop sensibilities, the result is an expertly-crafted, creative blend of genres. Meklit brought the band to Serious Business Music in Brooklyn to show us how it’s done.
