Sam Kogon is a Brooklyn musician with an arsenal of vintage sounds and styles. His technicolor indie rock take on glam, which he’s apt to calling “baroque pop,” feels warm and familiar in a way that’s reminiscent of the Beach Boys at times. Surrounded by some of the scene’s most talented musicians — including a collaboration with Frankie Cosmos on the album version of this particular track — Kogon is a young artist with an already-impressive musical resume.
Psychic Tears by Sam Kogon is available now from Beyond Beyond Is Beyond Records.
