Flashlights are a punk band from Orlando, Florida. Like many groups, what began as a solo acoustic project in 2007 (in this case, for singer/guitarist Terry Caudill) eventually grew to include members of the local punk scene. With songs about such classic topics as dead end jobs and lousy living conditions, heartbreaks and hangovers, the band owes more to the indie rock arm of punk music (Superchunk, Archers of Loaf, Sebadoh, Neutral Milk Hotel, etc.) than the harsher, poppier stuff of their fore-bearers. During CMJ 2014, the band stopped by Let ‘Em In Music in Gowanus, Brooklyn, for this special session, engineered by Nadim Issa.
