Cy Dune is the pen name and “mythological rebel persona” of Seth Olinsky, songwriter of bizarro folk punks Akron/Family. His extensive history of experimental sonic expressionism has taken him to countless corners of the music world, and this incarnation of his work manages to pull many of those pieces together. A largely improvised project, Cy Dune blends live performance of guitar and vocal and instrumental loops. For this special session, recorded at Greenpoint’s Spaceman Sound, Seth performs and shares some insight into the genesis of this unique project.
