Gregory and the Hawk is the solo project of Meredith Godreau from New York. Known for her touching lyrics and vocal talents, she conceived the band name in 2003 to set herself apart from other female singer-songwriters. The trick seemed to work, as she’s developed a loyal following of fans — thanks in no small part to her hard touring work ethic and the internet — and continues to grow as an artist, calling on talented musicians to lend their skills to the project’s recordings. Here, she stops by the studio for a solo performance of songs from her next album, which can currently be heard in demo form online.
Featured song: “Heart Attack”
