Brooklyn musician Sean Cahill’s band The Next Great American Novelist has been a study in change. Nearly reaching its end when a meeting with Jason Cummings launched the current phase of the reinvigorated project, which blends dreamy, melodic indie rock with hints of sun-kissed pop in a way that feels somewhat more West Coast than Brooklyn in a super refreshing way. The band dropped by Serious Business Music in Brooklyn to brighten up the basement studio for this session.
Careless Moon will be the sophomore album from The Next Great American Novelist.
