Camilo Medina and Javier Forero met as kids in Bogotá before reuniting in Miami, where they began their musical collaboration. In Chicago, the duo was joined by Guillermo Rodriguez and Pierce Codina to round out the lineup for Divino Niño, whose dreamy, smoothed-out psych-punk grooves have a timeless quality, and weave effortlessly between English and Spanish at times, paying homage to the band’s collective musical backgrounds. The band dropped by while in NYC for this super woozy session at Serious Business Music in Brooklyn.
Divino Niño’s new album, Foam, is available now from Winspear.
