Paper Castles, a Burlington, Vermont, staple, began as a trio headed up by songwriter Paddy Reagan in 2009. A few years and lineup shifts later, he's joined by John Rogone, Brennan Mangan, and Wren Kitz to fill out the sound on his "sad songs about nothing." Sure, it's melancholy and soft, but more importantly, the music is extremely well-crafted and catchy. The band, along with their bedbug-sniffing dog, stopped by the studio to share some tunes and chat with Maia.
