On today’s episodes of BTR Live Studio at Home, London based electro pop artist GracieSouz, stops by to unveil the new solo project. The project began as a bedroom experiment during the London lockdown and boomed into so much more. The project has dark brooding cinematic tones. Grace is also associated with Indie Rock group Kin. Jen discusses with Grace the sound of the new project, her writing process, the making of the two new music videos for the singles Brian Cox and Before, An Apparition, and the influence of outer space on the project.
Grace Strickland de Souza is a multi-talented performer who we first got to know via her work in the band Kin. Over the past year, her solo musical bedroom experiments grew into a fully-developed project, taking inspiration from film scores, vocal experimentations, and electro-pop to form her own unique voice and sonic language. Here, she takes us to her home in Sheffield, UK for an intimate performance. Better In Space EP is available now. Listen to the audio podcast for more music and interview.
This week I've got UK-based indie musician Zoey Mead, aka Wyldest!
Her newest album ‘Monthly Friend’ (out 5/28) is filled with feminist undertones.
Stop the ignorance and violence. Control your emotions. Relax yourself and get some knowledge about everything. The world you live in is not all about you. Respect people's space. On that note, let’s get to the music and let's all enjoy!!
This week I feature Dutch rockers Queen's Pleasure—we chat & spin their newest EP 'Panic From Dublin' along w/ a past seven-inch.
