BALD WIFE - I saw this band play a storming set to a packed crowd at The Playhouse Bar in Norwich recently, and simply had to book them for a session. And here it is. BIG, bangy drums, played by a big, bangy drummer, sludgy guitar played through a bass amp, and growly disgruntled vocals. What's not to like? Hey, Whaddaya Say, Let's Radio!
On how the theme of color emerged on their latest album in an unexpected way, and the evolution from acoustic to electronic.
It's October and the sun is still shining! So make the most of this apparent Indian Summer and chill with Sinista as we play some dope UK Hip Hop. There is no Stark Note this month due to a studio relocation, but he will be back very soon. While Stark Note might be absent the heavy UK Hip Hop is not! Dirty Dike's latest offering "Sucking Prawns In the Moonlight" Is the Album Of The Month, plus there is brand new music from the likes, Ray Vendetta, Stig Of The Dump, Holly Flo Lightly and many more. Hope you enjoy!
This week, Jason's got a stack of stock to stick it to you with. Including, but not limited to, Ruth & The Adelians, The Droptones, New Juggler Sound, and The Pepper Smelter. All your favourites! Oh boy! I can't wait! Can you? How will it all turn out??? Let's do a radio and see!
DOG'S DINNER - Today's band sort of bring to mind a slightly ramshackle Shellac. Ramshellackle if you will.. They're already getting other radio play here in the UK, and picking up some good gigs at prestigeous venues, so keep an eye on them! Hey, Whaddaya Say, Let's Radio!
This week, Jason drinks soup, or possibly tea, and guides you through the choppy waters of music, to a serene island that he likes to call, Seal Of Approval. We have new stuff from The Cactus Channel & The Sure Fire Soul Ensemble, and lots of would-be classics. Oh boy! I can't wait! Can you?
DISCHARGE LOUNGE - Well, this was a fun session! If you don't believe me, listen to it, and also look at the photos. And if you did believe me all along, still listen to it, and look at the photos. Basically, just listen to the damn session and look at the photos!! OK!! I love you. Hey, Whaddaya Say, Let's Radio!
This week, Jason has a whole slew of post-Decemberween toons to get you in the mood for returning all of your unwanted stupid presents for refunds or the cash equivalent, or selling them on Ebay if need be.
MAYA LAW - Even though she's just 16, Maya is already all over the local music scene, playing live sessions for the BBC, doing lots of gigs, and I just had to get her into the studio for some analogue goodness for your ears. She has a fantastic voice. Hey, Whaddaya Say, Let's Radio!

TIBETAN NIGHT TERRORS - Well, today's session is gonna be a lorra, lorra fun! Even without the Cilla Black accent, it's going to be a surprise, surprise, and the unexpected is definitely going to hit you between the eyes, or rather, the ears. Haha, how's that for a description of the band! Hey, Whaddaya Say, Let's Radio!
March! And the fact that the temperature is starting to rise as the UK Hip Hop show comes back is no coincidence. Sinista & Stark Note return with dope tracks from the likes of Ray Vendetta, Fliptrix and many more. The Four Owls recently returned with their sterling "Natural Order" offering and that is featured as our Album Of The Month. Cappo's "Spaz The World" is getting spun in Classic Corner and when you add that to everything else in this months show you come up with a phat sack of dopiness we hope you all enjoy.
This week, Jason interferes with your ears, and whichever other orifices he can get his hands on. There's plenty of entertaining tea-based chat, inspirational concepts and ideas etc.. Oh, and there's also more of Venezuelan early 70s group "Spiteri", a pair of tasty morsels from the new Brian Auger comp, and more from the debut LP by The Sorcerers. Oh boy! I can't wait! Can you? HOLLY LERSKI - I'd seen Holly's name around the local music scene for many years, but for some reason that escapes both of us, we hadn't met until today. I noticed that Holly was headlining the Norwich Arts Centre, for the launch of her new LP, and so I grabbed the chance to get her into the studios they like to call Old School, for this session that you're about to hear. Hey, Whaddaya Say, Let's Radio!
BEBOX - Having seen Bebox do her live thing at a few gigs, including on of Iain Lowery's OST nights at Cinema City, I knew I had to snare her for an OSS session. A few failed attempts later, and here we are. Voice, and loop station. That's it. Here are the results. Hey, Whaddaya Say, Let's Radio!
Happy new year to every one out there. We hope you have had a good holiday period and are ready for some more UK Hip Hop. Sadly we start the year on a sombre note, after hearing the news of Mark B’s death. Mark, B was one of the most well respected producers this country has ever produced, and released classic albums with the likes of Task Force and Blade. Tributes have been pouring in from artists and fans alike from all over the world and this months show is dedicated to Mark B. Our thoughts are with Mark's family and friends.
MIRE - This week's session is a local 3-piece that were brought to my attention by my glamorous assistant Conor, who was also on engineering duties for the session. And a sterling job he's done too! Let us see if you agree. If you don't, then, well, you're wrong. Hey, Whaddaya Say, Let's Radio!
