From a brief time in the modeling world to playing guitar in the studio and live with bands like Chairlift and Tamaryn, the revelation of Hill’s own project has been a long time coming. Stemming from a collaboration with friends (members of Froth, Cherry Glazerr, etc) to a rotating cast of players in the form of the Noh Starrs, his music has undeniable nods to 60’s and 70’s New York City rock, folk, and psychedelia. Known for immersive, memorable performances, Brian brought his gang to our live room at Serious Business Music in DUMBO, Brooklyn, for this fairly reserved, yet thoroughly impressive performance. And The Noh Starrs will be available August 18, 2017 on Modern Sky.
