It’s Bike Week on BTR! First, we sit down with Morrigan McCarthy of Restless Collective, a two-person multimedia project that aims to explore the world, figuratively and literally, by bike. Along with her partner, Alan Winslow, McCarthy completed an 11,000-mile bike tour of the United States. And later, we head to the Motor City for an interview with Zak Pashak, a young Canadian politician and music entrepreneur that’s breaking into the bike business in a big way. Despite the city’s bad rap, Pashak fell in love with Detroit and opened his own bicycle manufacturing plant, Detroit Bikes.
Midweek on BTR means DJRePete and an enlightened blend of alternative from the likes of Lovedrug, electronica crossover from the Trailer Trash Tracys, and a jazz beat with TheSatisfaction. Plus, tune in to hear the brand new Miike Snow album, music-before-you-can-buy-it from The Spinto Band, and a collection of BTR throwbacks including Almost Charlie. Also, clowns and babies just to keep things creepy. It’s all today, your BTR Wednesday with DJRePete!
