This is the Thanksgiving Thursday mix for November 26, 2015. Happy day, everyone!
It's another freakin' week into August, and boy is it hot! And boy, oh boy, are we keeping the hotness alive with killer psych-influenced pop and rock from Ducktails, Popstrangers, King Gizzard, and so much more ROCK of all types! It's amazing, and you've got a front-row ticket!
The Thursday Show for July 16, 2015 kicks off with FFS, which stands for Franz Ferdinand and Sparks. As the name implies, it's a supergroup consisting of members of - you guessed it - Franz Ferdinand and Sparks. Their debut, self- titled album is out now on Domino. You'll also hear new tracks from Find The Others, Froth, Tough Age and Hey Mother Death, a duo out of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
This fine Wednesday begins with DJRePete at the controls, spinning beats by Brika, a softer set with the likes of Laura Marling, and an upbeat set including the debut by FFS—that’s Franz Ferdinand + Sparks. Plus, hit up some in-store shows and festival info on the way from N America and Europe. And Jim O'Rourke throws in some advertising irony for good measure. It’s your Wednesday start on BTR with DJRePete!
The Thursday mix for the very last Thursday in June starts out with Latin and Spanish language music. I will also premiere a new band to the show, Stoop Kids. They hail from New Orleans, Louisiana and call their music "A love letter between doo-wop and hip-hop". Also, stay tuned for a new single by Deradoorian .
The Thursday Mix for June 18 brings you some mellow tunes, some rockin' tunes and some electronic tracks. You'll hear music from Fayetteville, Arkansas based band, Shawn James & The Shapeshifters, new tunes from Brooklyn band Wild Yaks and song off of Sharon Van Etten's latest EP, I Don't Want To Let You Down.
DJRePete kicks things off on BTR Wednesday! Hit up new alt with the brand new album by the Heartless Bastards which hits stores this week. Plus, a trippy track by Jacco Gardner, hip hop beats from Brika, and a zen track from Uoh! Also tune in for details on the NXNE festival which kicks off today in Toronto, as well as DJRePete’s recap of Michael Rault’s show at the Northside Festival in Brooklyn last week. And hear this week’s throwback set in homage to BTR’s 10th birthday featuring Alex Winston! That’s your hump day start to your lineup on BTR!

Who would have thought that a band from Beijing would be the coolest thing to hit this New Weird America show in years? The psych-rockers Chui Wan fit so well onto this show, that I had to throw out the “Merica” part of the show title. But that’s ok, we welcome songs here with open arms, and I’m so glad to play them on the show today along with new tracks from Sharon Van Etten and My Brightest Diamond! And don’t forget to follow BTR on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, and SoundCloud
This week I give you my top three things to do in rain forests, plus we get tips, tricks and stories from the road from world wanderer Alex Salamanca!
Is 'Mad Max - Fury Road' a feminist conspiracy or a kickass action movie? Tune in for our review!
The badass BUG BOYS of The Rock Show are back this week with new hit songs from Thee Oh Sees, Joanna Gruesome, Warm Soda, and more! Things get a little more relaxed in the second set with Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Eleanor Friedberger, Little Wings... It's very nice. Listen and love.
