Molly Knefel offers her take on why natural disasters are also political disasters, explaining that, while many politicians speak out during these times and call for unity, politics have led to communities of color and lower income lacking resources and infrastructure in advance of these events that exacerbate the effects of such catastrophe. She argues that more inclusive politics would have considered the needs of these communities before the devastation hit. Molly and John Knefel are hosts of the longrunning progressive politics podcast, Radio Dispatch. Music featured in the episode: "Untitled" by Tiny Victories
