As we continue to fight this virus around the world, day by day we still have to do things to keep us positive to survive. Thank god for music right? Music makes time fly by and gets your body in the mood to dance, or just bop your head. NYC is where I’m from, so lately we have been getting some good weather. The sun is shining bright. I think it’s ok to come outside in front of your building or backyard, just stay away from large crowds. While we are still going through it, I’ve provided a mix to get you through the day or week. So um, let’s go!!!
Longtime Toronto-based drummer and composer Nick Fraser is today’s interview guest on The Jazz Hole. He is part of two brand new albums.
Peace to everyone on the check in. Hope everybody out there is taking it easy. Don’t drive yourself crazy. Be patient, stay focus, keep your mind busy, don’t veer off into thinking things are hopeless. We all have to stay strong. I understand, it’s not easy. You just wanna do the basic things right now. Eventually we hope this will pass. Right now though, this is the new normal. In the meantime, to keep your mind busy, not looking at numbers or graphs. We got this World Hip-Hop mix to grab hold of your attention. This pandemic, what else can you say? We can beat it. Ok, let’s get into the mix so we can all still have a good time while fighting this.
Ahhh man. These are some crazy times right now. R.I.P. to all people, all over the world, dying from this deadly virus. The numbers you see on the news, it’s just sad. With knowledge and some unity we can beat this. It’s going to take a while. The days seem to go so slow now. They say stay home if you can, please stay home. This is a world battle no matter where it came from. In the meantime, I have some good music to take our mind off this crisis. Music from around the world. Please do what you can with what you got. Let’s rock to some joints…Enjoy…
To be number one you have to work real hard. People these days seem to want everything without working for it. You want to be regular then make regular music, whatever that is. Um, here on this show though, we try to play the best. Not because you’ll say “oh i never heard of them” you’ll say “this shit is fire”. World Hip-hop, yeah that’s what it is. Enjoy the best!!
If the world is flat, how come the moon’s not flat? Or the sun? How does the water stay a float if the world is flat? Nobody has yet to be recorded falling off of the earth. Anyway this is the “Is the moon flat?” mix. LOL!! Somebody told me the moon is a optical illusion. I almost fell to the ground. You know what? Let’s just bop our heads to the flat moon. Let’s go!!!
We have spent billions of dollars on jet fuel, traveling around the world bringing you great music. LOL. Well, we haven’t stopped. Here is another banging mix to take you on another journey to the 4 corners of the planet. No, the earth is not flat. LOL. Anyway let’s set it off with Napoleon Da Legend’s “Spineless Zombies” track. Are we robots made out of flesh? We love to follow and not lead? Consumers not creators? Nappo goes hard on this track reaping East Africa. Let’s listen. Go!!!
FINALLY! It’s over. LOL. Oh well, the new year is here, so now what? We might have a new president this year? Only time will tell. For now time might feel like it’s moving slow, trust me, the month of June will be here before you turn around. In the meantime and in between time, we got some time for you to rock some World Hip-Hop from the best artists in the world. Let’s go!
