I can barely believe it’s October!  Summer festivals are just a distant memory, school is in full swing, and open-toed shoes are just about behind us.  But we’re keeping up the warm summer vibes on the Saturday Show with a bunch of great rock and roll for you.  We’ve got girl rockers Ex-Hex, punk rockers Ausmuteants, and Brooklyn weirdos Dinosaur Feathers- all new on the show today!  And don’t forge to follow BTR on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, and SoundCloud!!
Did somebody say new King Tuff?  Uh, yeah, I did!  We’ve got brand new King Tuff on the show today, which is always a big Saturday treat.  Plus, new tracks from Twerps, Purling Hiss, and even a band called Tweedy aka Jeff Tweedy and his son!  Don’t forget to follow BTR on Facebook and Twitter too for all of the latest updates on the station!
Happy September Saturday!  I hope everyone out there has been enjoying the sweater weather- I know I am.  There’s nothing better than being able to wear something snuggly AND get away with open toed shoes.  If you need your early fall perfectly soundtracked, then BTR is the sweater/sandals music combo you’ve been looking for!  We’ve got amazing new stuff on the show today from a Swedish band named Goat, an Irish band named So Cow, and a Canadian man named, of course, Moonface.  Stay tuned to check it all out!
With the announcement of the new Apple products this week, we all found a free download of the new U2 album in our iTunes.  Which is cool.  The only thing is- BTR has a free download of all of today’s very best new indie music multiple times every day!  And today we have a great playlist for your Saturday- make sure to check out exciting new releases from Moonface, So Cow, and an AUSTRALIAN band called Lower Plenty.  Plus, don’t forget to check us out on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, and SoundCloud!
It’s my six year anniversary of DJing the Saturday show!  It’s hard to believe that much time has passed, but it’s been great being part of the BTR family.  Playing good music every Saturday for the best listeners around is the coolest.  Today to celebrate I play all of my absolute favorite tunes from the past six years.  It’s a great show, so stick around and party with me!
We’re getting this August Saturday off to a rollicking start with Irishman So Cow’s new track Barry Richardson. Barry Richardson is, by the way, a football player! A big one - for the NFL! Today is the day that Brazil gets to either redeem themselves somewhat or embarrass themselves further in the World Cup third place game, but the big show is really tomorrow with Germany and Argentina.  Everyone knows though that a summer July Saturday is a party waiting to happen, so even though the third place game is today, we’re treating this like it’s going to be the best summer Saturday of all time here on BTR.  We’ve got your breezy summer soundtrack.  With bands like Beverly and Mark McGuire, you can just sit back with a gin and tonic in hand and watch the Netherlands do what they will with Brazil.  And as always, make sure to check out BTR on social media!
It’s the day after Fourth of July! The Fifth of July! Those words don’t carry quite the same weight, but it was rainy on the whole right side of the US yesterday, so hopefully everyone is out BBQ-ing today! Either that, or watching the World Cup quarterfinals! Either way, we’ve got a breezy summer soundtrack on the show today to keep you company. Plus, don’t forget to check out BTR on social media!
