An entire edition of “The Jazz Hole” about – and with – the rising star of the Latin Jazz scene, the charming Gregorio Uribe, leader of the Gregorio Uribe Big Band. The band’s debut album “Cumbia Universal” just came out and it features a 16-piece orchestra that blends Cumbia and other Colombian rhythms with Big Band arrangements. Star guests include multiple Grammy Award-winner Ruben Blades.

Pedro is originally from Cordoba, Argentina and since moving to New York City in 1996, he has established himself as one of the city’s most important bandleaders, bassists, composers and arrangers.
