Happy Weird Wednesday! On today’s God Bless Weirdmerica, we start off with what is technically, I suppose, a hip-hop track from Blood Orange (aka Lightspeed Champion aka Devonte Hynes), but I think his amazing blend of electronic elements make it an excellent candidate for an out-of-genre experience. Plus, new music from deColalge and No One Mind, and old favorites like Dan Deacon.
Ooooh yes, we are truly in the thick of this thing called summer now. New York City smells like garbage, which is truly spot on for this show, Garbage Garage. While we do have some garage rock on the show today, there’s quite a lot more. Psychedelic music from Colorado, Blood Orange’s unclassifiable collage, and of course, we’re starting it off to a little salute to the men of Real Estate. And don’t forget to check out BTR on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, and SoundCloud.
Just when you think I'm gonna zig... I go and zag! And vice versa, naturally. It's the Rock Show way, and me personally, I wouldn't have it any other way. Oh and by the way? Don't forget to check out that app, rate and review (5 stars only, plzthx).

The Listening Booth goes on the road today, with a playlist spanning the Northside Festival in Williamsburg + the Bonnaroo stages in Manchester Tennessee. Just in time for both, DJRePete is spinning a mix guide for festival goers and/or a playlist for those who want to attend vicariously. Hit up alternative from Jeff the Brotherhood and the Heliotropes, electronica crossover with Scam Avenue and Bob Moses, and blues-funk from Charles Bradley and Lettuce. Plus, catch a few populist b-side tracks from Chvrches and Two Door Cinema Club, as well as appropriate festival trippy goodness from Tame Impala and Michael Rault. It’s (sorta) officially summer, folks, in the Listening Booth with DJRePete on BTR!
