BTR catches up with singer-songwriter Alec Chambers to chat about what learning piano on YouTube was like!
Ryan Camenzuli, aka Zuli, is already ahead of the game at just 22 years old. Beyond being a skilled musician and songwriter, the NYC-based artist had a bit of luck early on, benefiting from a relationship with a member of his favorite band, Akron/Family. Zuli admittedly wears his influences on his sleeve, and so folk, experimental, and psych-pop touches stemming from A/F, Animal Collective, and the like shine through in his own music. We caught up with Zuli (the band) at a friend's apartment in Bushwick, Brooklyn, for this intimate acoustic performance.

Dar Williams is a folk songwriter currently two decades into her music career. Her latest release, Emeralds, draws heavily on that accrued history, crowd-funded through Pledge Music, recorded in studios all around the country, and involving a wealth of guest musicians and co-writers. Here, she visits Saltlands Studio in DUMBO to share some of her latest tunes and to chat with Maia about the inspiration behind her work.
This week's show is a bit more on the quiet, laid-back side of things. Mostly lo-fi, lonely singer-songwriter music, some new stuff, some new stuff, some old stuff. Lots of static and acoustic guitar. It's a good mix!
If ever there was an artist capable of convincing you to “Remember The Highs”, it’s UK singer-songwriter Lucy Hill. BTR caught up Hill, who performs under the moniker Little Lapin, to chat about what has changed for her since her last Tune Up feature a year ago.
TRACEY BROWNE - Tracey drove down from Manchester especially for the session, so count yourself lucky listeners. It was lovely to meet and hang out with her for a few hours, and I hope you enjoy the session.
Nashville-via-Brooklyn-via-everywhere country singer/songwriter MIchaela Anne returns to BTR in the midst of a tidal wave of critical acclaim (including a Rolling Stone premiere of her latest music video).
