Though pop culture appropriated it long ago for skimpy costumes and booze consumption, let us not forget that Halloween was originally the day on which we honor the dead. No doubt, the memorials of Morrison, Hendrix, and Cobain warrant a visit, but here are nineteen other musicians who are no less deserving of a Klosterman-esque posthumous pilgrimage.

The remarkably untalented bass player for The Sex Pistols who died of a heroin overdose at age 21 after most likely murdering his girlfriend Nancy Spungen. Though his mother claimed to have found a suicide note expressing his wishes to be buried next to Spungen, the cemetery where she was buried would not allow it, as she was Jewish and he was not. Thus, his ashes were allegedly scattered over her grave at the King David Memorial Park in Philadelphia, PA.
