Announcing Run River North's New Album & Premiering Its Single "Lonely Weather"

The days are getting colder, darker, and seasonal depression is lurking around every corner. Indie pop-rockers Run River North know about it all too well. And they’re here to give you a desperately needed ray of sunshine during that 4 p.m. nightfall by announcing “Lonely Weather, the first single from their newest album Creatures In Your Head, out Feb. 12.

With an upbeat pop melody and insanely catchy vocals, “Lonely Weather” is here to be your cuff during cuffing season. Dance and feel understood as “Lonely Weather” helps you find your favorite comfy sweater for the season that’s both bitterly cold in temperature as well as emotions. Chanting backing vocals, echoing instrumentation, and melodic clapping makes you feel warm inside even as the wind outside is fast and icy.

“We wrote ‘Lonely Weather’ with Nick Anderson from the Wrecks and he’s from Buffalo, New York; and as SoCal local natives, we were educated on how real seasonal depression can be in,” frontman Alex Hwang tells BTRtoday. “Regardless, whether you’re from upstate New York or sunny southern California, change is always coming and the struggle to endure and face these changes can feel a lot like lonely weather—this song is about finding your favorite sweater during those weird and lonely seasons that you have to go through in order to get through it.”
