On Sunday, January 6, the Three Kings Parade commemorating the Christian story of the Three Magi’s visit with the baby Jesus.
Three Kings Day is a cherished holiday for Latinos the world over. The New York celebration, organized by Puerto Ricans and Latin American-themed arts organization El Museo del Barrio, drew on the holiday customs of Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Mexico. The festive event featured camels, colorful puppets, floats and thousands of participants.
