The Billie Jean King National Tennis Center opened its gates yesterday for the 2014 US Open, which lasts until Sept 8. The US Open occurs every summer and is the final grand slam tournament of the professional tennis season. Last year, Serena Williams won the women’s singles title, while Rafael Nadal won the men’s. Nadal is out due to a wrist injury, but Williams is still looking to defend her championship. BTR checked out the grounds and caught some first round matches.
