NYC’s ‘Gazing Globes’

Gazing Globes, the current art installation in Madison Square Park, is a small sea of giant snowglobe-like spheres created by visual artist and landscape designer Paula Hayes. Each globe is a polycarbonate sphere filled with various items representing contemporary culture. Parts of radios, glass tubes, beads, and other items taken from technology fill the insides. The globes sit on pedestals of various heights making it easy for onlookers of all ages to get a glimpse into one of them. The installation will be displayed until April 19th.
