The fourth annual Seed Experience vegan festival, expo, and conference took place on June 20th and 21st at Brooklyn’s Expo Center in Greenpoint. The center was lined with vendors performing food demonstrations, offering tasty samples, and selling some of their treats. Dandies, an all natural marshmallow brand, was giving out small s’mores-like samples of mini mallows and graham crackers. DF Mavens Ice Cream was offering up cold and creamy ice cream, and Spanky’s Kitchen shared their extra fudgy brownies and cookies, which are made with the owner’s own home made vegan butter. Other vendors included Pony Cakes, Gone Pie, House of Juice, Rockin’ Wellness, and Freakin’ Vegan.
While most vendors offered up food and beverage, many also came bearing beauty products, fashion accessories like handbags, and nutrition information. Aside from vendors there were workshops, film screenings, additional cooking demos, and speakers throughout each day. Animal protection organizations were also present like the Catskill and Woodstock Animal Sanctuaries, Sea Shepherd, and Mercy for Animals. It was a day full of vegan food and beverage samples, information, and shopping for all, whether they were vegan or not!
