The Macy’s Flower Show, “Art in Bloom,” includes various flower arrangements, sculptured pieces, active fountains, and miniature gardens indoors. The show began on March 22nd and will run until April 4th at the Macy’s in Herald Square here in Manhattan.
Some flowers are arranged to include Pop Art in the show, boasting bright colors and a comic book effect. Soft pastel hues in a pastel gallery pay homage to the Impressionist era. The flower arrangements were designed to evoke feelings of different types of art such as contemporary, surrealist, and abstract.
Flowers showcased include Gerbera Daisies, Narcissus Tulips, and Green Apple Neoregelia Bromeliads among many others. Cactuses were also spotted along with tulips and exotic plants. A handful of arrangements displayed lit up installations and soft music to accompany the visuals.
