NYFW Spring ’14 is underway and, as captivating as the runway is, we all know the real style stars can be found walking the streets of New York City. BTR brings you the best looks from the week long festivities.

Marcus John(left) and Antoine Price(right) are designers here in New York City. John was spotted wearing Alexander McQueen Jacket and Gold Spun Jeans, a style he describes as, “urban grit.” John’s favorite designer is YSL his style icon is Sam Lambert. Price, originally from Atlanta, is a designer for AntiqueSocietyHomme.com. Price states that he is his own style icon but enjoys 3.1 Phillip Lim. He was spotted with Johns wearing Tripp NYC jeans and Nike shoes, and looks to display a style of “goth street classics.”

Lisa Wverzinger is a fashion management student from Munich currently residing in New York City. “[I] like to stay classy but with a little edge. She enjoys the style of Olivia Palermo and her dress is by her favorite designer Patrizia Pepe. She was spotted with a Prada bag and boots by H&M.

Sarah Goethe Jones is a British fashion marketing student at Parsons The New School of Design. She was spotted in Lincoln Center wearing Dorothy Perkins dress and shoes, with a purse from JustFab.com. She describes her outfit as, “lady like and regal. She aspires to the stylings of Audrey Hepburn, and enjoys the current fashion line from Victoria Beckham.
Emily Jackosn Wearing J Brand top and Valentino shoes
Emily Jackson, 22, is from Salt Lake City Utah and works as a fashion blogger for theivorylane.com. Classic and feminine is her trademark, Jackson also admires the outfits of Miranda Kerr. Her shoes are by her favorite designer, Valentino, and she was spotted strutting them through Lincoln Square.

Lauren Gould is the Design Director at the HOWL Group and is the Co-founder of The Marcy Stop, a blog documenting her “experiences living and swapping clothes in Williamsburg.” In keeping with the relaxed style of clothes swapping, Gould describes herself as laid back and city chic. She was spotted in vintage pants and says her favorite designer is Alexander Wang and that her style icons are Stef Bambi and Cara Delevingne.

Rachel Parcell, 22, is a fashion blogger from Salt Lake City. Her blog, The Pink Peonies, aims to demonstrate her style, which she describes as, “classic and feminine with an edge.” Her skirt is by her favorite designer, Tory Burch and is also clad in J Crew heels, Celine bag, and Prada sunglasses. Her style icons are Olivia Palermo and Anna Wintour.

Dana Sass, 21, is the Creative Director of Charlie, a women’s fashion brand launching this coming February. She is also a model and was spotted in Nolita, wearing a Zara sweater, Alexander Wang sweat pants, Diesel shoes, and Dior sunglasses. She describers herself as “grungy chic.” Her favorite designer is Christian Dior and she idolizes the stylings of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Zoya Jarrett is a Chicago based Production Director. “I love matching prints with a sic skirt or pant,” Jarret tells BTR. Her top, is one of her own design and make. She admires Kate Moss and her favorite designer is Vivienne Westwood.

Taryn Manning, 34, is an actress, best known for her role as Tiffany in the Netflix original series, Orange is the New Black. She was spotted at The Alice and Olivia Presentation at Highline Stages. Manning loves Alice and Olivia designs and chose to wear an original from Stacey Bendet’s collection.

Lainy is a fashion blogger for Haute InHabit, and the site perfectly represents her style. A New Yorker, BTR found Hedaya strolling outside Lincoln Center with a Rebecca Minkoff clutch. She states that she does not have a stylistic epitome. However she does have a favorite designer, Karl Lagerford.

Beatriz Penalver is a fashion designer from Spain here for New York Fashion Week. She is clad in an H&M top and a skirt from her own label. She enjoys the stylings of Blake Lively and describes herself as “urban chic.”

Melanee Shale is a fashion blogger and entertainment reporter from Los Angeles. She aims to capture and edge in all of her fashion styles, “mixing high and low fashion, [and] throw a hat on everything.” Her favorite designer is Thakoon Panichgul, and she aspires to the styles sported by Olivia Palermo. Shale was spotted strutting through Lincoln Center.

Elizabeth Keene, who curates her blog, A Keene Senese Of Style, is from Los Angeles and follows a simple set of guidelines when picking her clothes. “Feminine and tailored,” Keene tells BTR, who was spotted at Lincoln Center clad in a vintage jacket and handbag. Her favorite designer is Marissa Webb, and like Ms. Shale above, admires the stylings of Olivia Palermo.

Sarah Martin comes from Yorkshire, England and works in advertising. She also manages a personal blog, MochaSoyWhippy.com. She aims to capture classic styles but, “with a twist.” She was spotted outside the Kate Spade Presentation at Center 548 in Chelsea, and while she idolizes Alexa Chung, Spade may be her favorite designer these days.

Julia is a fashion blogger from San Francisco who curates GalMeetsGlam.com. She was seen leaving the Kate Spade presentation in Chelsea sporting a Fendi purse. She admires the fashion of Kate Bosworth and her favorite designer is Valentino, the mind behind her shoes.

Zanita Morgan is a fashion photographer and maintains her own blog at ZanitaMorgan.com from Esperance, Western Australia. “Soft tailoring and vintage pieces are my thing.” She recently has found a lot of her fashion inspiration from the AMC hit show Madmen. When asked about her style icons, she cited Chloe Sevigny and Diane Kruger. Her favorite designer is Stella McCartney.

Joy Zhaung, 17, is a student from China attending Parsons. She likes to keep her look “simple and clean,” sticking to blacks and whites mostly. She was spotted with a Phillip Lim bag outside Lincoln Center. Her style icon is Karl Lagerfeld.

Martha Graeff is a former model from Brazil, a stylist, and founder of aroundinstyle.com. She thinks of herself as, “fun and casual” and her style is inspired by her mother. She was seen walking the Lincoln Center Plaza wearing a American Apparel skirt, carrying a Celine bag. Her favorite designer is a tie between Givenchy and Alexander Wang.

Pauline, 16, is a New York City native currently attending the The Dwight School. “I like to be natural, wear flowers in my hair and I never like to have too many accessories. Simple,” Pauline tells BTR. She gets most of her inspiration from whowhatwear.com and from Brooke Shields.

Kyle Anderson, 30, lives in New York and works as Accessories Director at Marie Claire Magazine. He was carrying a Louis Vuitton bag as he passed through Lincoln Center, wearing his favorite designer YSL. Anderson finds inspiration through Tumblr and Instagram but really enjoys getting ideas from Music. “I would say rock n roll, black. I am inspired by the streets of cities all over the world,” Anderson tells BTR. He also is a fan of icons who reinvent themselves such as Madonna, Rihanna, and even Miley Cyrus.

Aimee Song, 25, curates her own fashion blog, Song of Style, and she is an interior designer. She was spotted strolling by Cafe Habana dressed in Karen Millen. She describes her own fashion style as a “mix and match of everything.” Her style icon is Lauren Hutton, but her favorite designer is Isabel Marant, “because she stands out.” Song is from Los Angeles, CA.
Maryam Abdullina wearing Jay Ahr
Maryam Abdullina, 27, is a professional model and business woman who focuses in sales. As she walks through New York City she is wearing the same designer that designed her wedding dress, Jay Ahr. Abdullina told BTR she values “feeling free, comfortable, and above all beautiful.” She finds inspiration through introspection or by walking the streets of New York. Abdullina is from Uzbekistan.
