For the past 43 seasons, Lincoln Center has filled its plazas—regardless of weather conditions—hosting free, multi-genre, art-related events with their Out of Doors series. As the country’s longest-running free outdoor festival, Out of Doors attracts hundreds of diverse spectators daily, creating an environment of unified artistic celebration for the masses. New-age spoken word artists draw massive crowds with snapping fingers while neighboring stages anchor praised Americana artists of yester-year, in addition to dances commencing their New York premier.
This past Thursday, The Damrosch Park Bandshell welcomed the Chinese American Arts Council Dancers performing their renowned choreography From Chinatown with Love, joining the Kun-Yang Lin Company with their interpretation of Be/Longing 2.
