This weekend, cat lovers from all over the world descended on Asbury Park, NJ for the first Catsbury Park Cat Convention, held at the historic Convention Hall/Paramount Theatre and nearby venues. Organized by the people behind the Asbury Park cat cafe Catsbury Park, the Cat Convention brought vendors, artists, DJs and special guest felines to the Jersey Shore.
Meet-and-greets with the furry friends were limited to sold out private events, but the bulk of the action was on the main floor of the Convention Hall, which was jam-packed with with everything and anything cat-related. From beer to tattoos to a costume contest and art show—oh, and plenty of catnip and cat dancers—there was something for everybody (who loves cats).
BTRtoday’s resident cat man Bryan Bruchman was there to take it all in.
