Cardboard Tube Fighting League McCarren Park - PHOTOBLOG

The Cardboard Tube Fighting League is a group that is organized through several theater companies around the US and Australia. Last Saturday, a New York faction gathered in Brooklyn’s McCarren Park for a day of dueling.

Participants congregate to put together cardboard armor and shields and arm themselves with cardboard tubes. There are, of course, some rules, but they all fall by the way side to the one rule that decides who wins and who loses. In order to win your tube must be in tact, or better off than your opponents, by the duels end. Duelers can be aged five and up and all you need is the courage to take up a tube.
