BTRtoday's Best Photoblogs of 2019

It’s been a busy year around here in the BTRtoday photoblog world. We checked out a lot of great music and found tons of interesting sights around NYC.

If there’s one thing we love, it’s animals. This year we dropped by Jackson Galaxy’s Cat Camp, the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, and even the Algonquin Cat Fashion Show.

If there’s another thing we love, it’s food and drink. Luckily we work in a city that loves to throw events focused on them. From coffee to hot sauce to kimchi to – obviously – beer and bloodies, we consumed it all (and even remembered to photograph some of it along the way).

Don’t worry, we didn’t miss the city’s art. We got amazing pics of Prismatica, Photoville and MoMA’s reopening, Bushwick Open Studios, plus Comic Con, Comic Arts Brooklyn and plenty of craft fairs and markets.

Last, but certainly not least, we toted our cameras to incredible events you can only find in NYC.  This year we witnessed everything from the huge Pride Parade and the smaller but no less exciting Idiotarod to a Hip-Hop Armor Battle, Competitive Winter Picnicking, an epic DIY sea battle, and a rooftop wrestling extravaganza.

Of course, this list is far from complete. There’s so much more, which you check it all out here. But for now, enjoy highlights from the year that was, as captured by our talented photographers Jeanette D. Moses, Bryan Bruchman, Edwina Hay and Nicki Ishmael.
