Big Ups Final Show @ Bowery Ballroom

On Friday, NYC rockers Big Ups played their final show at Bowery Ballroom. The band’s unpredictable and experimental approach to punk and hardcore steadily attracted new fans and kept existing ones guessing.

It was a night to be remembered. Guerilla Toss, Washer and Bethlehem Steel joined Big Ups for their final night of cathartic fun. Comedians Joe Pera and Dan Licata joined forces with “Chappy” (Rebecca Ryskalczyk of Bethlehem Steel) for a custom t-shirt giveaway with. Bethlehem Steel  covered Foo Fighters’ “Everlong” with Kerry Kallenberg of Flagland and the crowdsurfing never stopped.

Photographer Edwina Hay captured everything from soundcheck to the last notes of the night. Read on for photos.
