A New York City summer lasts until that very last day of warm and sunny weather, which means that while the days are fading away, New Yorkers are still out for fun in the sun.
However, the city isn’t what it use to be. BTR set out to find places that are still all about the hustle and the bustle of summer, yet contrast them with summer escapades past that have perhaps been forgotten by most. From the skaters of McCarren Park, to the Coney Island beach bums, to the abandoned World’s Fair grounds in Queens, we got an idea of what summer looks like in the Big Apple from the inside out.
