The Music Meetup's Political Thanksgiving Playlist

This year, instead of trying to keep the peace between yourself and your conservative uncle, hyper-religious aunt, borderline racist grandpa, or whoever, try diving headfirst into that hard convo. That’s right. This holiday is offensive anyway, so why not get some use out of it and tell your privileged cousin why they can’t be for Trump and denounce his racism at the same time or try to get your grandma to understand why a gender neutral bathroom in the workplace is important?

We’re here to help facilitate the difficult talks. The tracks below will fuel your passion to help spread some humanity this holiday season. And of course I’m hoping you’re having those conversations in a socially distant, pandemic-conscious way—so maybe during an outdoor family gathering, or virtually, or even not at all.

If you need some help or some ideas on talking points, here’s a doc. with super helpful rebuttals against racists.
