The Dumbest, Funniest and Worst Ways People Spoiled ‘Avengers: Endgame’

After Avengers: Endgame opened last weekend, spoilers were everywhere. Marvel anticipated this problem and created a #DontSpoilTheEndgame hashtag to keep shitposters at bay. But this is the internet. With a movie as enormous as Endgame, spoilers and leaks will always get out. It’s just a question of how many people see them and how funny those spoiler reveals are. (Note: Links may contain spoilers.)

Someone posted Endgame leaks on Pornhub. This is a fresh reminder that if you’re excited enough for Avengers to search for it on Pornhub, you should’ve bought advance movie tickets.

How not to do a firefighting presentation. Reddit user Firebatmaximus was just having a casual conversation about Endgame before his presentation at a local community college. But he forgot he was mic’d up and accidentally spoiled it for 1,500 students, who ruthlessly booed him. He then somehow powered through his presentation, daggers fixed on him the entire time.

Apple News got a little too cute. Content creators were excited that Endgame and Game of Thrones’ Battle of Winterfell were happening on the same weekend, and wanted to take advantage. But Apple News took it a little too far and accidentally posted a major spoiler right on their front page. Clever graphic. Bad timing.

Teacher keeps it real. This isn’t actually a spoiler, but a respectable move from a wise educator. After all, what do you do if you spend your entire day around teenagers who can’t keep their mouth shut about the new Avengers? Post a note on your door. But not just any old note—make it long and detailed and print it across several pages. Kudos to this teacher’s sense of humor and thorough spoiler insurance. Points off for using the word “Jeebus,” though.

NFL running back runs his yapper. After seeing Endgame, Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy took to his Twitter account to spoil the ending for his 730,000 followers. He was widely criticized, perhaps most strongly by ESPN fantasy football expert Matthew Berry, who rebutted by tweeting about McCoy’s subpar stats. He’s definitely not mad.

Spoiling for a cop is a bad idea. Redditor DietyOfThe North claimed he was stopped at DUI checkpoint in Denmark. When a cop inspected his car and found an Endgame movie ticket, he told the cop “some of the big plot twists and spoilers.” That kind of move (or much, much less) might get you shot in America, but the cop wound up trolling him back by towing his truck. There’s a solid chance this didn’t happen, but it’s so detailed you can’t help but laugh.

Spoil the movie with your username. This Reddit user made one of the primary Endgame spoilers his username and posted all over a bunch of threads. In both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and actual reality, this is considered a dick move. We pulled this post from r/iamatotalpieceofshit, though, so it seems apropos.
