If you haven’t heard of NYC indie rockers Shadow Year, then this song is a great introduction.
The Brooklyn-based quartet knows how to keep their vibe emotional, yet also light-hearted with a strong drop of edge. Soothing vocals mix with sweet melodies that quickly change to a blizzard of sound before going back to playing your heartstrings.
“Joel Tudor” starts off slow with some distortion and a tight bassline that gets steadily joined by heart-beating drums. Guitarist/ vocalist Tyler Wright eventually starts the song off talking about dry martinis before frontwoman Scout Gillett gently hums in about emotions.
The video takes place in homes, bars and on the streets of Brooklyn. Be the first to watch below.
