Our Week In Music: Beach Parties, Live Brooklyn Performance, & Premieres

In case you couldn’t keep up with the musicians, bands, and artists we’ve been throwing at you all week, here’s a quick recap …

This week, on The Music Meetup, host Elena Childers strayed from her usual programming and created a playlist dedicated to the summer and Gemini season!

We also had a new episode of Roadside Assistance. This week BTRtoday’s podcast hosts got together to dedicate a playlist to beach party season!

For BTR Live Studio (at Home), host Jen Meller chatted with Nashville-based pop artist Klypi. They discussed the release of the new LP Consensual Hits, their edgy music videos, and their songwriting process.

This week’s Subliminal Inevitable featured Refresh Records! Host Bruchman caught up with owner Josh Higgins to talk about the Charlotte, NC-based label’s changes and developments since their last episode back in 2018.

Plus, another new BTR Live Studio (At-Home) host Bryan Brushman chatted with NYC-based Endearments. The brand new project from Kevin Marksson, formerly of synth-rock duo Saint Marilyn. Here, they delivered a stunning performance recorded live at Our Wicked Lady in Brooklyn and chatted about the project and their musical background.

Finally, our Top Artist of the Week was Anjimile! Our hosts spun his album, his Reunion EP (Father/Daughter Records) the most this week!

You can also watch the exclusive performance from our latest BTR Live Studio (at Home) sessions with Klypie and Endearments right here, along with previously unreleased At-Home Live Studios with Nancy Reagan from back in January:

We kicked the week off with the premiere of a killer animated video from Imogen Clark for her song “Bastards.” Here she becomes a superhero fighting against animal cruelty alongside the animated version of her actual dog Socks!

We also premiered the dark and punk rock music video from NYC thrashers T.V.O.D. for their song “Heaven!

Plus, check out the video premiere from Talk Bazaar for his song “In The Black.” Coming from his new album Oceanic—out June 17 on Paper Moon Records.

And, our last premiere of the week was from Tony Vaz for his track “Crushed Red!
