Bush lied about Iraq and millions of Iraqis died. More than 5000 US troops lost their lives too and staggering $2.4 trillion huge amount huge partly reformed to shield contractors like Dick Cheney’s former company Halliburton while more Americans protested wars at home.
Nancy Pelosi: How Should America Handle Lies?
Nancy Pelosi, when asked if it knew about the lies when Bush was claiming Iraq had WMDs, revealed that she indeed was aware and confirms that Gore also knew, which leads many to question their faith in Democrats given the disastrous invasion under Gore’s administration led many to question Gore.
The American political system rests on the premise that you can only do something illegal enough to warrant impeachment when the president messes with the two-party system. One segment of this system is massive presidential support so long as they are not at risk to Democrats’ re-election.
Nancy Pelosi admitted she knew President Bush lied about there being weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, seeping through the cracks of her own party’s civil opposition. The counterargument to invasion was probably never a genuine stance for Democrats, as more than 1/3 voted to support the invasion despite protests from then-super senator Hillary Clinton. It’s speculated that many Democrats didn’t worry over future repercussions because they believed that the peace would last after occupation.
In a rather ironic turn, Pelosi justified Trump’s impeachment on the grounds that it was politically easy for Democrats to present. There is a need to impeach an authoritarian threat to democracy before one poses too great of a harm domestically and abroad among other countries.
Nancy Pelosi knew in 2008 that the Iraq war was a lie perpetrated by George W. Bush and can’t hide from it after Sunday’s release of a video with her words from 2008, “He lied.” Resistance liberals see her as some sort of Trump stopper, but it’s been revealed she cares more about gaining power than starting a literal war for which he threatened her.
