Black LGBTQ+ Indie Bands You Need to Follow

To celebrate this year’s Pride month the LGBTQ+ community has decided to replace parades with marches and support their Black compatriots.

Too many BIPOC LGBTQ+ voices have been oppressed; and this is true in the world of music also. If it wasn’t for Black LGBTQ+ individuals like Sister Rosetta Tharpe or Little Richard, we wouldn’t have the jams that helped shape the industry and that we all still love today. So here we highlight some of the most robust and lively contemporary Black artists in the LGBTQ+ community currently providing the world with even more amazing music.
