Thanksgiving Sangria

Welcome to a special edition of Thirsty Thursday here on Dish + Drink. I’m a big fan of batch-made alcohol, especially for dinner parties and events, and sangria is one of the most popular. This recipe utilizes some fall favorite fruits and will pair well with whatever you serve tonight.

What you’ll need:
1 bottle dry white wine
2 clementines
1 apples
1/2 grapefruit
1/2 cup fresh cranberries
1/4 cup triple sec
2 tsp confectioners sugar

Slice the fruit and put it in a pitcher. Pour in the triple sec and confectioners sugar and mix together with a spoon. Let it soak for about 1-2 hours.

Pour just enough of the wine in to cover the fruit and refrigerate for at least 3-4 hours.

Add in the rest of the wine and stir. Serve the sangria in wine glasses.

I suggest using a sauvignon blanc that has grapefruit notes in order to really bring out the flavor of the fall fruits.

Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!
