Maple and Lemon Cocktail

A few weeks ago, while dining out, I drank a cocktail comprised of Maker’s Mark bourbon, fresh apple cider, and lemon juice. I was hoping to recreate it at home, but when I realized I had no apple cider I made a few adjustments. This one is just as good, if not a little better.

What you’ll need:
3 oz applejack brandy
3 oz ginger ale
1/2 lemon
1 tsp maple syrup

Place a few ice cubes in the bottom of a rocks glass and pour the brandy over them. Add in the maple syrup and mix with a cocktail stirrer or straw. Juice the lemon into the glass and pour in the ginger ale. Stir and serve.
