To continue the celebration of Bourbon Heritage Month, I made my first ever bourbon peach float. With summer still hanging on and this week’s heat wave here in NYC, I knew this drink would hit the spot.
What you’ll need:
2 oz. bourbon
6-8 oz. ginger ale
1 scoop peach ice cream
Fill a glass with bourbon and ginger ale. Stir before adding the ice cream. You can also add peach slices as garnish.
I used Turkey Hill Peaches & Cream ice cream because it has some peach slices mixed in with the ice cream.
Because this drink is a bit heavier while still packing a punch, I’d suggest it for a Sunday afternoon on the porch or a post-dinner drink rather than for happy hour.
