Bourbon Apple Cider

Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and our third week celebrating National Bourbon Heritage Month. This past weekend, I went to my favorite cider mill in northwestern New Jersey and picked up some fresh apple cider with this recipe in mind.

What you’ll need:
2 oz bourbon
2 oz apple brandy
4 oz apple cider
4 oz ginger ale

Combine all the ingredients in a glass and stir. Feel free to garnish with apple, but it isn’t necessary to the flavor of the beverage.

I prefer this drink with non-alcoholic apple cider, but hard cider and bourbon together is also great kick in the pants for fall. Just nix the apple brandy and ginger ale in that case. Happy National Bourbon Heritage Month!
