Lime Apple Cider

October means apple picking and apple picking means apple cider. Yes, hard apple cider exists (and yes, some of it is pretty great), but sometimes I just get a hankering for the real thing. I bought a liter of fresh apple cider with intention of combining it with whiskey, but it needed something to cut the sweetness. Lime juice does exactly that and adds a tangy and light element to this otherwise indulgent cocktail.

What you’ll need:
2 oz whiskey
1 1/2 oz apple cider
1/2 oz lime juice

Add ice to a shaker. Pour in the whiskey, cider, and lime juice. Shake well and strain into a glass to serve.
