Today is a special edition of Thirsty Thursday here on Dish + Drink because, not only is it the second week of National Bourbon Heritage Month, but it is also Honey Week here in New York City. Luckily for us, few ingredients pair as well together as honey and bourbon. Add a few subtle aromatic notes and a bit of citrus juice and you’ve got yourself a fall-inspired cocktail for the ages.
What you’ll need for the cocktail:
2 oz bourbon
3/4 oz lemon juice
1/4 oz clover honey
Place a large ice cube in the bottom of a rocks glass. Add ice to a shaker and pour in the bourbon, lemon juice, honey, and a dash of orange bitters. Shake well and strain over the ice cube to serve.
