Something about toasty summer nights leaves me thinking about both iced tea and bourbon. Somehow, it hadn’t crossed my mind to combine two in this way before, but this recipe is one for the books.
Green tea and honey go hand in hand as do bourbon and honey, and bourbon and lemon, of course, which makes this cocktail perfect for the upcoming warm nights.
What you’ll need:
2 oz bourbon
1 bag green tea
1/2 tsp clover honey
1 lemon twist
First, brew the green tea and chill it in a refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
In the meantime, chill a highball glass.
Then, combine the bourbon, two ounces of green tea, the honey, and ice in a cocktail shaker.
Shake well and strain over ice in the highball glass. Garnish with the lemon twist to serve.
